Questions you might have:

What Makes Chiropractic Different?

While most of conventional medicine looks to potion, pill or surgery, chiropractic aims to stimulate the body’s inherent ability to heal itself by reducing stress to the nervous system. The nervous system controls every living cell, tissue, and organ in the body. Life’s stresses (car accidents, sitting at computers, bad food) all help damage the cell tissue of the body. By restoring neurologic function to different parts of the body (spine and extremities), chiropractors help those damaged tissue then can receive the proper neurologic input from the body. This mechanism allows for decrease pain, increased flexibility, and a better healing response from the body. Now the healing is coming from the patient and from some outside source!

Can Chiropractic Help?

The only way to find out if chiropractic can help is by performing a chiropractic examination. We combine a thorough history, orthopedic, neurologic, range of motion, palpation, surface electromyography, thermographs, and radiographs (if needed) of the body to determine whether chiropractic can help you.

Will I Have To Go For The Rest of My Life?

We have a beginning and end to all our treatment programs, however, many patients decide to do regular spinal check ups once finished with their chiropractic program in order to maintain an optimal spinal health. Taking care of the spine is much like taking care of your teeth. Regular teeth cleaning helps prevent cavities and regular spinal check ups help prevent spinal injuries, arthritis, and pain.

How long will it take?

The time that it take to heal typically depends on long the problem has been present. We are glad to report that most of our patients experience relief within the first week or two of care.

What if My Insurance Doesn’t Cover Chiropractic?

We are preferred providers for almost every insurance company (Premera, Regence, Aetna etc) in Washington and because most insurances cover chiropractic services, we don’t often run into patients with insurance not covering our care. In the rare case that yours doesn’t, we have very affordable cash plans for even the smallest of budgets. We are experts in insurance verification. If you have question if your insurance covers chiropractic, give us a call and we will do a benefits check free of charge!

How long will my first visit take?

Most first visits take 30-45 minutes. By the end of the appointment we will tell you whether we believe chiropractic can help you or not. If we find that chiropractic can not help you, we will try our best to find you the health care professional that we think can help. Our number one interest is in helping you to a healthier life.
